I came across a website called Learn Out Loud, which offers audio books, MP3 downloads, podcasts and videos. The content is geared toward learning, so the subject matter includes topics like art, business, language, travel, philosophy, etc.
I want to tell you about this for two reasons:
1) They offer more than 3000 free audio books for download. Just click on the "free stuff" tab on the Learn Out Loud website. You can get free language lessons, meditations, speeches, and more!
2) Every Friday they offer an additional free audio book download sponsored by one of their advertisers. After you sign up for the newsletter (easy form, e-mail address only) they'll send you a notice once a week.
I'm not getting any kickbacks or swag in exchange for promoting this, I just thought it was worth sharing! I know those who use public transportation as often as I do will appreciate having new and varied listening material ;)
